We’re celebrating Kavita and her deeply inspiring scholarship made in moving memory of her mother. From our very initial conversations, Kavita was clear that her scholarship will celebrate the values that her mother represented.
Her rich global experience in human resources coupled with a deep understanding and empathy for the students, and her gracious interest in reaching out to more students has made her a scholarship-giver who brings so much more than just funding for her scholarship winners and our community.
Her scholarship supports excellent and deserving students in high school as well as students pursuing engineering & medical sciences.
Thank you, Kavita!

Abhishek is a proud recipient of a fully funded merit scholarship instituted by Teotia Foundation, and is studying at NIT, Trichy.
November was a life changing month as Abhishek suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital ICU for urgent care. Throughout, Abhishek maintained a calm mind. Even when he was in a subconscious state, he used hand-gestures to continue communicating with care staff and family, providing big relief and faith for the family and care givers alike.
We were also moved by the way his alma-mater CSRL Super 30, NIT Trichy and well-wishing supporters at Impactis came together to support his treatment and recovery. The biggest credit goes to his CSRL batchmates who took charge and really displayed the value of care and camaraderie.
Abhishek is back in his home town at the moment. He cheerily shared his updates and had a conversation with us and the Teotia Foundation founders.
His response reminds us all of the choices we can make while handling adversity and the far reaching effect it can have on those around. Abhishek’s stoic resolve and courage is inspiring. But it is now time for him to take good care of himself and focus on his recovery and wellness.
At Impactis, we are blessed to have seen Abhishek’s journey of growth over the last two years and we have full confidence in his positivity, resilience and courage to overcome whatever comes his way. Teotia Foundation and the Impactis family are with him all the way!
Impactis is continuing to create a reserve to support Abhishek’s care and contributions can be made

Volunteer Voices

Reimagining the Volunteer Practice: A Journey of Impact
We started Impactis with a belief that scholarships need to be more than just financial aid for our youth to be the change makers of tomorrow. Through interviews with students and pilot projects, we realized the key to truly empowering students lay in assessing not just merit or need, but also potential—their ability to grow, learn, and seize opportunities.
Evaluating character and uniqueness is nothing new. They are common to the admission process at the best colleges and can help us improve outcomes by matching limited scholarship funds to the best student.
But we faced a challenge: how could we ensure fairness in something so subjective? Our answer was to introduce personality-based evaluations that involve diverse voices. By engaging multiple volunteers from different professions and backgrounds (verified by their company), we could average out evaluations and get a balanced, accurate measure of each student’s potential.
At the same time, we wanted to make volunteering accessible. Traditional corporate volunteering often requires significant time and effort, but we envisioned a lighter, virtual model. Volunteers could contribute from anywhere, in small, meaningful bursts of time, all while experiencing the joy of making a difference.
In November 2023, we launched this initiative, and the response has been inspiring. With seven top corporates and nearly 1,500 volunteers, we’ve clocked over 25,000 evaluations and 2,000+ hours of service. And we are just getting started!
As we look to 2025, my dream is to grow this community—not just as evaluators but as mentors, guides, and supporters who help these students thrive. This is more than a volunteering program; it’s a movement to create brighter futures and lasting change.
Thank you to all companies and their wonderful employee volunteers for being part of this incredible journey. Let’s make 2025 a year of greater impact, together!
