Monthly Report July 2023
Dear friends
Welcome to the July Monthly Update – a period that exuded a sense of relaxation and revitalization for scholars, who found themselves back at home after a substantial hiatus from the usual academic demands. It fills us with pride to observe how scholars judiciously harnessed this time, achieving a harmonious equilibrium between expanding their knowledge horizons and indulging in well-deserved leisure pursuits.
This July, our scholars exemplified their prowess by engaging in multifaceted endeavours. A cohort embarked on a internship journey with Impactis Global, embracing the role of UI/UX testing experts. Simultaneously, others delved into the intricate realms of Machine Learning, Data Science, and Python programming, translating their newfound expertise into tangible projects that centered around Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing. Furthermore, their enterprising spirit led them to cultivate innovative projects and collaborate with novel institutions, thereby nurturing the fertile grounds for their entrepreneurial aspirations to flourish.
Beyond these accomplishments, our scholars demonstrated their altruism and mentorship by sharing invaluable insights with aspiring IIT-JEE candidates and providing guidance to diligent youth preparing for the Assam police examinations. Not content with just academic outreach, they dedicated themselves to imparting scientific knowledge at their alma mater and, remarkably, pursued their passion for photography, capturing moments that resonate with beauty and creativity.
While accomplishments abound, our scholars also embraced the warmth of familial bonds, reconnecting with grandparents, friends, and cousins, thus enriching the tapestry of their lives. Explorations were not limited to intellectual realms alone; several ventured into new domains, discovering places of interest that widened their perspectives.
In a heartwarming display of solidarity, our scholars extended their support to their parents’ entrepreneurial endeavours, contributing to the operation of family-owned shops while relishing the comfort of delectable home-cooked meals.
This inspiring blend of personal growth and communal bonding stands as a testament to the enduring curiosity that defines our scholars. As the upcoming semester beckons, we extend our heartfelt wishes for their continued success and fulfillments. With unwavering enthusiasm, they continue to light the path towards a future brimming with promise.

02. Internship at Impactis
Our current batch of scholars recently embarked on a mini-internship journey at Impactis. This group session of confidence building began with a brief discussion of the key takeaways and how they were implemented from the last group session. This followed by a collaborative discussion on each one’s confident and apprehensive areas.
Scholars were divided in breakout rooms to then discuss the methods they use in their everyday lives to boost confidence. Furthermore, to enhance their confidence of studying effectively, scholars were presented with 3 of the most effective studying techniques: Leitner’s System, Feynman Technique and the SQ3R method. In the month of July, scholars experienced a period of rest, reset, renewal, and restart. They felt like mini-celebrities back home, as schools and known groups sought their time to hear about their experiences with IIT—from preparation to studying there. This unexpected reflection and public speaking opportunity back home contributed to their high emotional and social engagement.
Regarding the academic domain, a medium rating is appropriate as scholars have received their second-semester scores but are yet to fully implement their learnings in this semester.
Overall, July served as a month of taking time out and recharging their batteries, setting the stage for upcoming challenges and accomplishments.

Last month sounds like a productive and enjoyable vacation for the students. Spending quality time with family and friends is always a great way to recharge and create lasting memories and parallelly completing an internship and learning a programming language during the holidays shows dedication and a proactive approach to personal and professional development.
It is impressive that some students chose to invest their time in such a valuable skill during their break like enrolling themselves in an internship and learning programming language.
By making the most of their holidays in both leisure and productivity, students have likely set a strong foundation for their next semester.
