Monthly Report November 2023
Dear friends
🌟Welcome to our November monthly update! 📅 I’m glad to share the latest updates on the Small Towns, Big Dreams Scholarship.
As most students complete a year at campus, I want to reflect on our support program’s main goal of student well being. We were focussed to ensure scholars become comfortable in their new environment and have someone they can speak to freely during this adjustment phase.
Our support consistently received more than 4.8 on 5 throughout the year. But the greater joy is to see most students doing well in emotional, social and academic indicators that Impactis has tracked through the year.
As we head into next year, I ask you to contribute to the program so we may add more students to support.
You can also create your own scholarship in memory of a loved one or a corporate or alumni scholarship, complete with your own web page and space to express your aspirations from your scholarship. Explore more at https://www.impactisglobal.com/create
Do consider to act and support more students with the drive to make a difference.

Highlights
01. The Impactis Tech Talk episode 2
As innovation and entrepreneurship continue to gather more focus along with how technology will change the nature of jobs in the future, we thought it was only fitting to invite someone who has had a career across big techs like Microsoft and Visa, to start ups and now as a Senior executive handling venture investing in the very large Neom Investment Fund.
We were delighted to host Sunil Varhadkar talk to scholars about his journey across different types of companies, how to decide what might be a relevant experience for scholars to pursue at this stage of their career and more on the latest in how big venture funds are identifying interesting industries and ventures to invest.
We were also delighted to have one of our scholars briefly host part of this session.

Coach’s Note

“In the classroom of self-awareness, every lesson learned is a stepping stone towards personal growth.”
November unfolds as scholars dive into self-management and explore their surroundings. Eager to make strides, they actively seek resources and strategies for progress, showcasing a deep commitment to learning and development. Their intense academic focus translates into medium ratings for both academic and emotional aspects, yet their social domain scores high. Post-exams, scholars gear up for a well-deserved break — some heading home for rejuvenation, while others stay on campus, immersing themselves in intercollege events.
Coordinator’s Note

November was a whirlwind for students — juggling classes, quizzes, Diwali celebrations, lab tests, and prep for projects and exams. Their commitment to balance diverse responsibilities showcases remarkable determination for both academic success and engaging extracurricular activities. Highlights include active participation in Sports, organizing events, and involvement in clubs like IEEE and AAC.
The Tech talk with Sunil Varhadkar was a standout, emphasizing the importance of learning new skills, gaining experiences, and building social networks for future success.

We asked scholars to share a pic of their favourite hangout spot with their friends on campus. Here are a few of them:

What can be a good spot other than beach! One the best things about it, is the sunset and the dance of colours that happens during it.
