Progress, Partnerships & Paying It Forward
April Update from Impactis
As we step into Q2, we’re excited by the momentum building around our mission to make scholarship giving easy, impactful, and scalable.
Product Progress
April saw us progressing on building out the online ability for scholarship givers to create and manage their own scholarships online. This is a foundational step toward making Impactis a fully self-serve platform—and we’re loving the direction it’s taking.
Thinking through how a service experience can be converted into a product brings its own unique discoveries and I’m really thrilled about taking our first version for early user tests this month. We’ll focus on presenting the right information and choices that build trust and confidence to act. This will be an exciting time of building and discoveries.
Scholars as Builders
A real highlight this month: a few of our own scholars volunteered to help us shape this technology we’re building. Seeing them contribute to something that supports the next wave of students—while learning and growing themselves, and figuring out how to use new tools and AI—has been incredibly rewarding. It’s moments like these that make us believe we’re on the right path.
Welcoming Rotary International 5170 to Our Community
We’re thrilled to have signed up with Rotary International District 5170 in the Bay Area. This partnership marks an important milestone as we begin expanding our presence in the US scholarship-giving community. We’re just getting started. More to follow soon!

A Conversation to Remember
On a personal note, I had the good fortune to meet and spend time with Steve Kaufer, co-founder and ex-CEO of Tripadvisor in Boston. Our conversation around building at scale, staying close to the mission, and the long game of trust and value creation left me energized and inspired.
But most of all, it was a lesson in personal growth as well. The time he took patiently listening, absorbing and sharing considered feedback is impressive. With experience, we all build judgement – sometimes misplaced. Steve brings excellent character in his mentorship and counsel. My highlight for last month is definitely the pleasure of getting to know him better.
In closing
I’m excited to invite early users to sign up for our service of creating a scholarship online. That aside, if you know of investors who believe we are solving a problem that deserves to be solved at scale, would love the introductions.
Thank you for being part of the Impactis journey. More to come next month!
