Honoring a Legacy of Learning: The Nisha Mehta Memorial Scholarship
We are proud to announce the Nisha Mehta Memorial Scholarship, a heartfelt tribute established by her loving husband, Mr. Jitesh Mehta (Senior Director, Avery Dennison), and the family. This scholarship commemorates Nisha’s enduring legacy—her deep passion for learning and her unwavering pursuit of true knowledge (Gyan).
Nisha Mehta was a woman of wisdom and grace whose commitment to education left a profound impression on everyone she met. Her life was a reflection of her belief in the transformative power of knowledge, and this scholarship carries forward that vision.
Dedicated to supporting girl students in engineering, the scholarship seeks to empower young women who embody the qualities Nisha held dear—intellectual curiosity, dedication to learning, and a desire to give back to society. It offers financial support to bright, deserving students who are determined to make a meaningful impact in the world, just as Nisha did.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Jitesh Mehta and family for their generosity and for creating this life-changing opportunity that continues Nisha’s mission of spreading true knowledge.

Spotlight on Scholar Silpipriya Bora: Co-Hosting a Women’s Day Tech Webinar
On March 8th, Impactis Global, in collaboration with Standard Chartered, hosted a special Women’s Day webinar that brought together scholars and industry leaders to explore the rapidly evolving tech landscape in the banking sector.
The interactive session delved into emerging career pathways, industry trends, and critical skills for the future. Students actively engaged in a vibrant Q&A, raising insightful questions on topics like cryptocurrency, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
A highlight of the event was the presence of our very own Silpipriya Bora, a B.Tech student at IIT Guwahati and recipient of the Nisha Mehta Memorial Scholarship, who co-hosted the session. As a scholar co-host, Silpipriya represented the scholar community and led a fire-side chat with the speakers, helping steer the conversation with confidence and curiosity.
Reflecting on her experience, Silpipriya shared:
“It was an amazing experience to ask questions and have a conversation with leaders from the banking sector. I learned so much about how technology powers banking and finance—from cybersecurity systems that safeguard vast data sets to the role of programming in building fintech platforms. It was eye-opening to realize that engineers like us can find exciting opportunities in banking, beyond just the software industry.”
This co-hosting opportunity not only deepens scholars’ understanding of real-world applications of technology, but also nurtures key skills like public speaking, articulation, and leadership. It empowers them to overcome stage fright and prepares them for future professional interactions with confidence.

Volunteering Highlights – March Momentum
March was a milestone month for our volunteering initiatives, with exciting developments across the board! We kicked off our first-ever volunteering partnership with CGI, and what a debut it was—41 enthusiastic volunteers joined in, completing over 1277 evaluations and logging 114+ volunteering hours. The feedback was fantastic, setting the tone for a meaningful collaboration ahead.
Meanwhile, our seasoned partners at Salesforce took things to the next level. Building on a year of impactful volunteering, this March saw a record-breaking 112+ Salesforce volunteers join our orientation sessions! The enthusiasm was electric. Veteran volunteers generously shared their experiences—both the wins and the lessons learned—offering valuable guidance and motivation to the fresh faces.
Across both partnerships, we saw 160+ volunteers complete 3000+ evaluations and contribute 260+ volunteering hours. A huge shoutout to everyone who brought their energy, heart, and time. We’re just getting started!

Reflections from the US
Over the past month, I had the chance to travel across the US, meeting thinkers, builders, and supporters who are shaping the future—and as we begin building our technology to make scholarship-giving work better for a million professionals every year, it’s been nothing short of energizing.
Starting in Florida
My first stop was Florida, where I connected with a diverse group of students, many deeply committed to creating real-world impact. One of them even joined us as an intern—bringing not just talent, but a fresh perspective to our mission at Impactis. I also met with a few local investors and was intrigued by how Florida’s investment community is reacting to the AI wave: cautiously optimistic, open to ideas, and eager to see how new models can support both return and responsibility.
Next Stop: Bay Area
The San Francisco Bay Area, as always, was buzzing with energy. I explored the latest in technology, including what’s being built around talent-tech, trust, and human-AI collaboration. I had in-depth conversations with potential partners and collaborators, with a clear focus on expanding Impactis in the US.
Special moments here were my conversations with Abhishek Humbad, CEO Goodera and learning his journey to create a volunteering giant for corporations worldwide, Prof. Ashish Goel from Stanford University, who shared deeply practical advice on building trust through thoughtful information design. His insights are helping shape our next set of prototypes, grounding us in clarity and user trust. I also thoroughly enjoyed interacting with Geeta Kadambi, Director General in waiting (2026-27), Rotary International District 5170 as we found ways to partner on supporting more students worldwide to pursue education for better careers. I look forward to sharing more of our interactions soon!
Throughout the Bay Area, I met angels, VCs, and founders—and unsurprisingly, the spotlight was firmly on AI. It’s forcing every founder, including us, to ask sharper questions: How does this fit in a post-AI world? What should we build that truly endures?
Onwards to Harvard
My latest stop has been at Harvard, where I have attended a series of inspiring sessions at the Business School. Seeing Aravind Srinivas, Co-Founder & CEO, Perplexity, Steve Kaufer, Co-Founder & ex-CEO, Trip Advisor, and Ed Baker, the legendary growth hacker at Meta and Uber in their high growth days, speak and share their insights has been a highlight. Broader discussions with academics, entrepreneurs, and investors is pushing me to further refine our thinking. Our goal is to build something that serves a million users every year, and every little action we are taking today is not to help just a few handful of lives, but it is to build something that can deal with the enormity of the challenge before us.
This journey reinforced a few things: building at scale demands deep conviction, great people, and careful design. It also requires polishing the investor narrative, balancing the immediate with the vision. As we shape the next chapter of Impactis, I carry forward not just ideas—but new relationships, hard questions, and fresh resolve.
I’m spending more time in the US thanks to the patronage of friends and family, and look forward to sharing more next month!
