Honoring a Legacy of Learning: Sulaxna Sharma Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship has been made possible through the generous initiative of Saurabh Pradhan, a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, based in Bengaluru. We are deeply grateful to him for creating this meaningful opportunity in memory of his beloved mother, and for his commitment to uplifting students who are striving to overcome financial challenges in pursuit of higher education.
The Sulaxna Sharma Memorial Scholarship is a tribute to the life and legacy of Mrs. Sulaxna Sharma — a passionate educator, devoted mother, and a woman of immense strength and wisdom. She was a scholar at heart, someone who deeply valued the power of learning and spent her life nurturing the minds and spirits of those around her. Even in difficult times, she remained committed to the idea that education is the greatest gift one can give or receive.
Inspired by her unwavering dedication to knowledge and service, this scholarship honours students who reflect the same spirit of resilience and aspiration. It aims to support meritorious undergraduates from underprivileged backgrounds, helping them take confident steps toward a brighter, more empowered future.
Through this act of remembrance, Saurabh Pradhan not only honours his mother’s values but also extends her legacy to generations of young learners. We thank him sincerely for his trust and generosity — and for believing in the potential of students who dare to dream beyond their circumstances.

Making Scholarships Easier for Everyone
Meet Chandru, one of the first fully funded scholars from our inaugural batch. Today, he’s not just a beneficiary of a scholarship — he’s actively building the very platform that will help thousands of students access similar opportunities and creators create scholarship seamlessly in no time.
Chandru is currently working alongside our CEO on a project that aims to make the process of finding and applying for scholarships and creating scholarships simpler and more meaningful. The platform they’re building allows individuals and organizations to create scholarships in just a few minutes — even in memory of loved ones. The goal is to make it easy for people to give back and support students while creating something they can feel genuinely proud of.
Chandru’s Role
Chandru is leading the backend development of the application. He is responsible for designing and managing the database architecture, setting up the backend infrastructure, and ensuring secure storage and retrieval of scholarship data and media.
Mentorship & Collaboration
Chandru is being mentored by Impactis CEO Pankaj Asthaana and Impactis’s advisors Rishi Bhargava, and Sudhev Bohra, who are guiding him through both technical decisions and collaborative best practices. Their mentorship is helping him bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
Chandru’s Learning
This project has been a major learning milestone for Chandru. He’s gaining hands-on experience in:
- Building and scaling secure database systems
- Writing clean, efficient backend code
- Working collaboratively within a tech team
- Taking and applying feedback constructively
Looking Ahead
Through this experience, Chandru is not only sharpening his backend development skills but also building confidence for future internships and career opportunities. More importantly, he is learning how to develop software that solves real problems — a mission that resonates deeply with him.

Volunteering Highlights – April Momentum
In December 2024, the spirit of giving was alive and thriving as Salesforce volunteers came together to raise an incredible ₹14 lakhs during their Joy of Giving month. At Impactis, in partnership with Bhumi, we channelled this energy into creating something truly meaningful—a scholarship for 20 exceptional engineering students from IITs and NITs.
These students were not randomly chosen. They were carefully evaluated and top-rated by Salesforce volunteers themselves—making this initiative as personal as it is powerful. Starting July 2025, these scholars will be supported for an entire year—not just through funding, but also through mentorship, guidance, and professional networks.
To kick things off, we hosted our first Meet & Greet in April with 5 scholars, where Salesforce volunteers joined to hear their stories, celebrate their resilience, and offer heartfelt encouragement and practical guidance. The energy in the (virtual) room? Electric. Real connections were made, and the students walked away inspired and supported.
We have three more Meet & Greets lined up in June to connect the remaining 15 scholars with the very volunteers who believed in them. These sessions are more than just introductions—they’re the foundation of a collaborative, long-term support system.
With Salesforce as a strong partner, and the combined efforts of Bhumi and Impactis, we are not just giving scholarships—we’re building a community. A circle of support where students are seen, celebrated, and set up to thrive with the backing of some of the best minds in the industry.
